At L J Mullan Electrical, we recently completed a TV wall mounting and socket installation project for a customer in Banbury. While mounting a television on a wall may seem straightforward, this particular installation required extra care and planning as the TV was being installed directly above a radiator.

Why Thermal Imaging is Important

Using our thermal camera, we were able to clearly identify the route of the heating pipes hidden behind the plasterboard and ensure the TV bracket fixings were positioned safely away from them. This additional step provided complete peace of mind for both ourselves and the customer.

The bracket was securely fixed using appropriate fixings suitable for the wall construction, ensuring the television would be safely supported for years to come.
Adding a Socket Behind the Television
To create a clean, modern appearance, the customer requested a socket to be installed behind the television. This allows all cables to remain hidden from view, eliminating trailing leads and improving the overall appearance of the room.
We carefully routed the required cabling and installed the new socket position behind the TV. Once completed, the television could be connected directly without any visible wiring, creating the sleek finish that many homeowners are looking for when upgrading their living spaces.
